Kevin Darcy is a New York State Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified School Social Worker who has been working for over 15 years in a Long Island school.  He is a Dignity for All Students Act Coordinator and is a member of the Committee on Special Education and Section 504. Kevin has worked extensively with adolescents who have emotional, social, and behavioral challenges and has also provided parent training. Kevin offers a highly personalized approach in a comfortable and supportive atmosphere.  Each treatment plan he creates is tailored to his client’s individual needs with the goal of personal growth.  He guides individuals to achieve self-empowerment by utilizing an eclectic approach and by incorporating components of Cognitive Behavioral and Solution Focused Therapies.

Kevin also offers practical feedback to address current life challenges as well as long-standing issues. By providing sensitivity and compassion in a confidential setting, Kevin assists his clients in resolving a wide range of personal concerns and psychological challenges, including depression, anxiety, anger, addictions, stress management, adolescent struggles, conflict resolution, social decision-making, school problems, behavior issues, communication barriers, grief/loss, and more.  He also has extensive experience in helping families navigate the school system and often works collaboratively with parents and educators to utilize a team approach. 

Kevin earned his M.S.W. degree from Hunter College School of Social Work and his M.A. in Psychology from the University at Buffalo. He graduated Cum Laude from Stony Brook with a B.A. in Psychology.
