Kerry Arale, Psy.D.

Licensed Clinical and Certified School Psychologist

Kerry Arale is a New York State Licensed Psychologist and Certified School Psychologist.  For over 15 years, Dr. Arale has been providing counseling support to children, adolescents, and adults.  She has a specialty helping individuals alleviate symptoms of mood disorders, anxiety, ADHD, anger, relationship issues, poor self-esteem, adjustment disorders, and issues related to abuse and trauma.  Dr. Arale provides individual, family, and couples therapy.  She utilizes strategies such as  Cognitive-Behavioral techniques, problem-solving, mindfulness, and empathetic support.   She always works collaboratively with her clients to reach their goals.  She has worked with people of all ages and from various backgrounds, and truly enjoys supporting others in their desire to feel and live better.

Dr. Arale earned her Doctorate Degree in School Psychology from St. John’s University where her research focused on anxiety, depression, and anger.  For her undergraduate work, she attended Fordham University and graduated with a major in history and minor in psychology.  Once she decided to pursue a career in psychology, she returned to college to take additional classes.  Before becoming a psychologist, Dr. Arale gained valuable experience working as a schoolteacher. She has been a school psychologist for over 15 years and is adept at assisting children and parents with behavioral and emotional issues. Dr. Arale considers herself a lifelong learner, and continually strives to gain more knowledge and experience to enrich her practice as a psychologist.
