Janie Howard, Psy.D.

Licensed Clinical and Certified School Psychologist

Dr. Janie Howard is a New York State Licensed Psychologist who has worked in school and clinical settings since 2013. Dr. Howard specializes in working with children, adolescents & adults who are experiencing anxiety, depression, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder, & behavioral disorders. She utilizes cognitive behavioral techniques, mindfulness, and play therapy to help her clients learn problem-solving techniques & build resilience. Dr. Janie as she is known to all the children and families she works with, strongly believes that every person is on a journey to learn and accept themselves and then use this self-knowledge to navigate and adapt to life circumstances. Additionally, her background as a school psychologist enables her to assist students & parents with the special education process and Individualized Education Plans.

Dr. Howard earned her doctorate in School and Community Psychology from Hofstra University in 2013 and earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Molloy College. She worked as a school psychologist in several districts, taught at Molloy College for ten years and currently works as the Psychology Coordinator for Just Kids Early Childhood Learning Centers.
