
Kelsey McLaughlin specializes in providing therapy to children and adolescents experiencing a variety of social-emotional challenges. These challenges include anxiety, depression, emotion dysregulation, behavior disorders, ADHD, and adjustment difficulties.
Dr. McLaughlin integrates elements of CBT, DBT, and mindfulness strategies in her treatment approach, while creating a safe, caring, and supportive therapeutic environment. She maintains warmth, empathy, and nonjudgement throughout her work. In addition, Dr. McLaughlin is able to offer support and assistance to families while navigating the school system in order to coordinate care.
Dr. McLaughlin earned her M.S. and Psy.D. in School Psychology, with a concentration in psychological interventions, from St. John’s University. She graduated Summa Cum Laude and was awarded the Certificate of Academic Excellence for maintaining a 4.0 GPA throughout her graduate school career. In addition to the New View Psychology Group, Dr. McLaughlin currently practices as a school psychologist in a high school on Long Island.
